How do you write in a PDF file after opening it from the internet to send via email?

The scenario: Many job applications are in PDF files ready for downloading from employers' sites. I can open and view/print/fax, but I can't write in them to send via email. I can't seem to convert it it to Word and then attach it to the email that way. What do I do?

This should be answered in 1.0 for I'm one of those computer illiterate people.

You cannot edit PDF files with the free Adobe Acrobat Reader. You need Adobe Acrobat Writer, which is not free. It is included in Adobe Acrobat Pro.

How do I combine my PDF files(resume) from several separate pages to one for emailing purposes?

Q. I converted my resume to PDF but it stored each page individually. I wish to be able to email it as only one attachment though not three separate pages, is that possible? Thanks.

I was wanting to resize a PDF file due to it size but could not for some reasons. Is there a way to do it without having to use/download 3rd party software?

I guess you could not do this as the PDF is non-editable file format.

What program did you use to create the original? Word? Publisher? Illustrator?

What program did you use to create the PDF? Distiller? Primo?

What OS (operating system - OSX, Windows) do you use.
