Kindle vs Nook and can you download PDF files onto them?
Q. Which one is better/more worth the money? I am looking into it for someone who wants to buy one for his wife for a birthday present. Can you download PDF files onto them? He wants to be able to put the scriptures on it.
A. Both can handle PDFs, but realize that PDF is ideal for print, not ereaders. Formats that reflow naturally to accommodate the display size are much better for ereaders. If you must view a lot of PDF, you're best off with an iPad, which has a big screen and excellent PDF support. If that's too much money, consider a Kindle DX or one of the Sony Readers, which have better PDF support than either Kindle or Nook. Setting aside the PDF issue...

How come When I print pdf file from Adobe reader some of the pages are encrypted?
Q. I downloaded PDF articles from the PLOS website but my problem here is that when I print after 5 pages the article is written in strange codes. I even tried other Open Access research Journals that have PDF files and the same results happen. Is there a problem with reader?
A. This is because the person which makes this pdf has encrypted some pages of that pdf. There is functionality while creating pdf files to encrypt some pages. The encryption is done to not read the pages by the people who not purchases the original pdf file. Thanks.
